Our History

Pickleball Hamilton began its journey in 2011 as the Hamilton Pickleball Club, inspired by a visit to The Villages in central Florida. Jeff Morgan, captivated by the sport's energy and accessibility, started renting gymnasium space at Delta Secondary School to introduce pickleball to his family and friends.

The momentum grew quickly, and Rick Stevens soon joined forces with Jeff, playing a pivotal role in transforming this grassroots effort into Pickleball Hamilton. By late 2014, the organization was officially incorporated as a not-for-profit, solidifying its commitment to fostering community and growing the game.

Since then, Pickleball Hamilton has offered programming for hundreds of local players, advocating for the sport’s development across the City of Hamilton. From humble beginnings to becoming a cornerstone of the community, Pickleball Hamilton continues to bring people together through the joy of the game.
