Pickleball Hamilton Hear What Our New Members Have To Say

November 8, 2020

As part of Pickleball Hamilton’s on-going goal to promote club inclusiveness, we surveyed some of our members to get their feedback of their experiences during the 2020 summer season.

This was directed primarily at our new members. Some of the questions that were posed to this specific group were:

Why did they join Pickleball Hamilton?

As a new member, identifying what they liked most/least about the club and areas where Pickleball Hamilton can improve in the future.

Feedback on some of Pickleball Hamilton’s initiatives:

COVID protocols

Social events (e.g. weekly pub night at Turtle Jack’s, golf outing)

Pickleball events (e.g. club tournament, World Pickleball Day, Team Pickleball fun

tournament)

Programming (e.g. open play, drop-ins, ladder, etc.)

We are happy to report that the response was overwhelmingly positive. Some key topics that our new members provided in their feedback on Pickleball Hamilton included:

A comfortable environment to learn the game and improve their skills: No matter what skill level they had or how new they were to the game, Pickleball Hamilton monitored sessions offered to members were helpful and provided opportunities to have fun and learn the game.

Fun social club events: These events created a great community to make all members feel included and a great place to make new friends.

Location and Availability: Hill Park is a central location with plenty of play time during the day as well as before and after work hours (7am-10pm, 7 days a week).

A safe playing environment: Appreciation of Pickleball Hamilton’s COVID protocols, to ensure continued safe play for the entire membership.

Here are two of our new member testimonials from the 2020 season at Pickleball Hamilton:

"Every day we go play Pickleball, we hope to be better than we were the day before. Both as players of the game and more importantly as people." – Karyn and John Kastelic

“Pickleball every day, nothing more to say!” – Kathy Younger

With the 2020 summer season coming to an end, we are looking forward to continuing this path and are encouraged by the positive trajectory Pickleball Hamilton is on.

Hope to see you all indoors for our Winter season!
